In Design System University’s mini-conference series, I was invited to hop aboard Concourse and talk with designers about design system challenges unique to airlines. Guy Segal’s Design Downtime

I had the pleasure of guest-hosting on The Question with my good friend, Ben. Does this problem have a solution? Join The Question community and find out!
IxDA Columbus
I gave this talk at the IxDA Columbus chapter in the wake of the mass layoffs of 2022–23. This talk was shortly transposed into my article: The State of Design Systems: Where have we been and where are we going?
This talk was special to me: It was an honor to share my thoughts in my own community who were affected by the things I spoke about in this presentation.
Sparkbox Apprenticeship Workshop
During my time at Sparkbox, I helped lead parts of their UX/UI and Frontend Design Apprenticeships. We wanted to teach basic concepts about design systems early in the program. I was tasked with giving a talk on design tokens — a highly neutral topic 😉
Frameworks Meetup Group
I helped found and co-lead a meetup group in Dayton, Ohio with heavy support from the Gem City Tech group. We were a multi-disciplinary group focused on workshopping how to get design and dev to coalesce when using different JS frameworks and design methodologies.
